Preventive Care
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
At Southern Pearl Veterinary Hospital, we believe it is important to have regular preventive care checkups to help your pet live longer by finding any diseases early. We will examine your pet from Nose-to-Tail and will discuss any concerns you may have and answer your questions regarding your pet's health, diet and behavior. Vaccines are a safe way to prevent life-threatening diseases.
Soft Tissue Surgery
We perform routine spays, neuters, and dentals in our hospital. Soft tissue surgeries are performed when necessary to treat disorders involving the gastrointestinal and urogenital systems as well as conditions of the ear, nose, and throat. Some of the more common conditions diagnosed and life-saving procedures at our hospital include: splenectomy, cystotomy, abdominal exploratory with biopsy and foreign body removal.

Help your pet heal with therapy laser — drug free and surgery free. Therapy Lasers have been scientifically proven and successful in treating post-surgical pain and many acute and chronic conditions. Therapy sessions can be done in as little as 5–15 minutes. Conditions treated include arthritis, post-surgical pain, wounds, infections, lick granulomas, and ear infections.
In-House Blood Testing
When your pet is sick we can perform blood tests to check your pet's organ function quickly so that we can diagnose and treat your pet when time is of the essence.
Digital X-Ray
Digital Radiography is the newest technology to produce high quality, diagnostic images very quickly. Increased efficiency and diagnostic capability of digital x-rays are less stressful for your pet. Quicker diagnosis means your pet is on his way to feeling better sooner.
Ultrasound
Sometimes we need to look inside organs to diagnose your pet. Our veterinarians will fully evaluate your pet's liver, kidneys, spleen, intestines, and bladder using modern ultrasound technology to identify abnormalities such as fluid, cysts, or tumors.
